The Boonville Cross County team was in action Saturday Morning at the Heritage Hills Patriot Invitational. On the boys side the boys gave a strong showing finishing 5th in the 12 team field. Highlights for the Pioneers was Grant Montgomery taking the Invitational Title Finishing 1st in a time of 16:49, also scoring for the pioneers was Gavin Zint finishing 19th, Caleb Gentry finishing 27th, Callahan Merkel finishing 29th, and Darren Westerfield finishing 64th. On the Girls Side of things Ava Brown continued to improve her time and position this season finishing 37th in a time of 26:04. The team fought hard and gave great efforts all around Saturday. The Pioneers will be back in action Saturday September 27th at the Pike Central Invitational.
